Hi! I'm Mike, the "T-Shirt Dad"!

I've been in the professional T-Shirt and Promotional Products industries since 2008. I really love this industry and the many people I have met and gotten to know through the years. So many of our clients have been loyal to me and I know it's because of how loyal I am to them. I would do anything I can to take care of the clients who trust my company for their needs. Let me tell you how I got into this business and became the "T-Shirt Dad".

The story starts in 2007 when my wife and I were thrilled to find out that we were expecting our first child. We both decided that even though things would be tight for awhile, I should quit my job and be a stay at home dad. I was nervous and excited at the same time. In May, we had our daughter. Not too long after, my Uncle put me in contact with his friend who printed shirts in his garage. My Uncle thought it could be a good business fit for me. His friend, Chach, was awesome. He helped me find and purchase the proper equipment that I would need to get started and grow my business. He lived 45 miles away and still spent the time to train and help me learn to use the equipment. In February 2008, I finally got all my permits and licences to start Revolution Screening. That first year was a learn-the-hard-way year. But I got through it. I would take care of my beautiful daughter, cook meals, be a husband, and try to keep the house clean during the day. Then at night, when everyone was sleeping, I would get printing in the garage. Man, there were some crazy long nights that often stretched into morning when my wife was getting ready for work the next day. She had to tell me to get some sleep. I know I have clients to this day who remember our meetings with a baby, then a toddler, then a cute kinder.

In 2010, we had our boy. That was a tiring but great time. I loved when a client would call and need to meet and I got ask, "Do you mind if I bring my 2 kids with me?" Surprisingly I did not loose too many clients. Revolution Screening grew until we had to get out of the garage. My brother joined Revolution, and we started our new adventure. Unfortunately, he has moved to Tennessee and is no longer part of the company.

In 2013, we incorporated and opened our storefront with a 600 square foot showroom and 4000 square foot production facility. It is also our corporate office. Revolution Screening grew and so did the kids. My daughter was in elementary school and my boy was in pre K. I was doing the gear at my daughter's school and every year donated class shirts for both kid's classes. I would pick up the kids and run errands and there would be people who would ask me, "are you the t-shirt dad?" It happened all the time. As the company has now expanded to Katy, TX (Houston), I am often asked the same question, "are you the T-Shirt dad?"

So there you have it, I'm the T-Shirt dad. Not by my own accord but that of those who know of me and my business. As a thanks to all those that work with me and my business, we have given back $1000's to schools and non-profits who used us for their gear and promotional products needs. I really hope we can keep doing the same for years to come!

Special thanks to those who have made me who I am and the business what it is.

My awesome, beautiful, wife, Melissa

She has supported me since day 1. Heck, she was ok with me cashing out my retirement to pay for the equipment!! She supported me when she was going through horrible chemo and radiation treatment for her cancer. She has been there even when bad management hired almost ran the company into the ground. She has helped make me who I am to this day. (no T-Shirt Dad without a T-Shirt Mom) Thanks Babe!

Chach - Chach!!!

Your generous heart will never be forgotten. You showed me everything you knew about this business and always returned my calls and answered my questions. I would not be the "T-Shirt Dad" without your help. May the Lord Bless you and your family, Brother.

Carol

Oh! This woman is one of the most selfless ladies I will ever know. She embroidered for Revolution Screening in the early years. Revolution Screening could not be the company we are now if not for her. I am grateful for all you did for me and my family. Thanks Carol.

Mark

My brother, Mark. Even though he left not on the best terms, he was a pivotal part of Revolution Screening when we transitioned to the building and helped to maintain the growth we saw. He became the do-it-all kid. He became a very good embroiderer and was doing very well with art creation for clients (and he did so much more). When I was taking care of my wife during her cancer treatments, he held down the fort. He doesn't understand how much I appreciated all he did for me and my family at that time. I love you, my brother, and wish you the best man. Thanks, Mark.

My parents

Mike and Diane were big supporters of the business. They always have been. My first tote order was for the gym my mom worked at. My dad was so helpful. When I had meetings (that babies and little ones could not be at) he always loved to watch his granddaughter and then his grandson. Without them helping me with the kids for the business and then during the long treatments for Melissa, the business would not be here today. Thanks mom and dad for your love and support.

My kids: Lexi and Caleb

You guys have been my biggest fans. I love you guys so much and would definitely not be the T-Shirt Dad without you two.
There have been good times and tough times. I thank the Lord for always being there. So many times all I could do was trust him and give him praise because I did not know what was going to happen. My crew is getting a gift that has these verses on them. These 2 verses have helped me keep the proper focus in those good and bad times.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your path.

Proverbs 3:5-6
